WHOA!You should definitely take a moment to check out our
very good friends over at
http://www.mactheatrefund.org/. This is a non-profit started by parents and community members to help raise money for our program. Their funds support projects of ours like our trip to Scotland, technical equipment, guest artists and stars, outreach and a lot more.
It's expensive doing theatre! To make sure every talented student gets a chance to practice their craft, we have to find ways to raise money. McCallum's Fine Arts Academy has students from every socioeconomic background and that diversity is one of our strengths. Please help our friends at MacTheatre Fund by visiting their site and learning how to
donate money.
Heck! You can even use their new
shopping portal to buy all the stuff you need for back to school, off-to-college, around your office, etc WHILE SUPPORTING THE MACTHEATRE FUND through special arrangements with an amazing array of companies. Check it out!

We went to meet our Bowie HS theatre friends tonight and got a chance to see their production of Working. They're taking it to the Fringe Festival, so we thought we should have a little meet and greet. After the show, several of the McCallum students said hello, had some queso, and played games. We're very excited to have a fellow Austin group going along, so we'll be sure to conquer Edinburgh with our Keep Austin Weird spirit.
